CEREC Dentistry: More Than Just Convenience

At the office of Douglas G. Hope, we take pride using the latest dental technology to provide our patients with the best possible treatment. That’s why we use CEREC technology at our practice in San Marcos, Rancho Bernardo, and Valley Center.

CEREC dentistry uses special 3D CAD/CAM design software and in-office milling units. This advanced technology allows Dr. Hope to create dental crowns and other prosthetics in just a few minutes. This enables us to offer same-day crowns and dental restorations, making your life much more convenient when you need dental care. But CEREC dentistry offers more than just convenience:

CEREC Crowns Are Durable And Long-Lasting

CEREC crowns are just as durable as traditional, lab-made crowns. We use only the highest quality porcelain ceramic materials at our office, ensuring that your crown is just as strong as your natural teeth, and will last for years to come.

According to one study, CEREC crowns have a 5-year survival rate of 94.7%, and a 10-year survival rate of 85.7%, which makes them comparable to other popular types of dental crowns, like cast gold restorations. With proper care, a CEREC crown will last for years (and even decades!) to come.

CEREC Can Be Used For Many Different Treatments

One of the best things about CEREC is that it can be used to create a wide variety of dental restorations. Most commonly, we use CEREC to create dental crowns for both restorative and cosmetic treatments.

However, CEREC can also be used to manufacture inlays and onlays, as well as porcelain veneers. Whether you need restorative dentistry to replace a missing or damaged tooth, or you are interested in cosmetic treatment, we can use CEREC to provide you with the best possible results.

CEREC Restorations Look And Feel Completely Natural

Dr. Douglas G. Hope is an expert when it comes to CEREC technology, and he has years of experience working in both cosmetic and restorative dentistry. When sculpting your crown or other dental prosthetic, he will select a porcelain material that matches your smile, and ensure that your restoration fits perfectly into your mouth and is indistinguishable from the surrounding teeth.
